So here we are,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], at the end of the page, and oh what a challenge.
We’ve gone through all this work. We’ve had a &#8220,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych];spiritual awakening as a result of THESE steps&#8221,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; and now we have to live the life?
So what are these principles we’re expected to practice?
To me they are:
Humility: and this is very different from my old false pride;
Honesty: to my higher power, to myself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and to others; a novel concept!
Faith: reliance on things outside of me, and that includes you;
Courage: to live as my HP wants me to live, and live without mood alteration; Gratitude: for all that has been given to me on a daily basis; and Service: I must be of use to my HP and to others; not the old self-centered me!
On a daily basis, I honestly try to practice these principles in my dealings. I have defects of character still with me, but I do try.
Funny,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], about a year ago my honesty was called in to question. In my own mind I had been totally honest, maybe just danced around the edges on some things. Upon reflection,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I came to appreciate the point of view of others,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and made amends as best I could. I have to diligently be on guard for old behavior patterns.
I invite you to reflect on these principles. Do they make sense to you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]? Are the principles you’d like to have as a mainstay in your life?
For me, gaining them as a part of my journey was a real bonus. Understanding what they are and mean, even better. Practicing them; priceless.
Remember what my number 1 book says,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you want what we’ve got and are prepared to go to any lengths to get it, there is a program available to you that will awaken you to a rich, full life without depending on addictive substances and behavior. Back to my female role model and hero Dr. Ruth B, a great model for good mental hygiene is found in this program!
In a few days, I will review the stuff I’ve journalled about the steps this year. I’ll compare it to past efforts and look for growth! Hopefully, it all makes sense and I’ll put my thoughts into an e-book and share with all; not as an expert, but as a person on a journey of discovery with no destination!!

A Golden Anniversary With A Dancing Twist
Today, we were told a delightful story about life and love, and dancing. The story was apparently reported on the CBS Evening News and shared with us by a colleague. We heard a similar story a few months ago during a conversation with a couple we were interviewing. We will change the names in our story to protect the innocent. And you’ll see why.
But this story has a twist to it. You see, as committed as Mary was to Ned and as much as she loved him, her life with Ned for all those many years left her with an unaddressed beef about him. He didn’t fulfill all her needs.

Now question is how to proceed from liking to the love? How to be in the state of love? Unless and until you realize love yourself, you cannot understand the difference between love and liking. I suggest you here a method. Do this experiment if you want to understand the phenomenon of love. Love and sex also are two different things, but sex can be the gateway to love too. Just do one experiment. In most of the cases where a couple undergo the process of sex with each other, in that interaction every one tries to satisfy one’s physical need using other as a tool. You touch your partner because your body wants to enjoy the touch of other’s body. That’s why you must have observed - most of husbands retire from sex immediately when they discharge, without being bothered whether their partner is satisfied or not. What I mean to say that in the sexual interaction, priority is the self satisfaction and see, the paradox, people call it love.
If you do following experiment, then you can realize the bliss of love.
Approach towards sex should be wholeheartedly without being in a hurry. Firstly sit together and gently take out your clothes in full awareness. Be aware to each and every movement. So you have your own reason and purpose to like someone as through someone you wish to calm the disturbance in your inner equilibrium.
That’s why, you see after marriage or long relationship with the man or woman for whom once you had a very strong craving, now you don’t feel same intensity about the same man or woman. Everyone, after a few days or months or years of marriage, feels attraction for other person now. Some people even proceeds to have extramarital affairs. And so many times we have seen the so called love marriages end in divorces. What does it mean? It simply means that what you once thought of love, it was not the love but your liking. Most of us are raised in a culture that teaches us to use moralistic judgment as the way we control people's behavior. These judgments are used to determine who gets punished and who gets rewarded as we grow up. Don Miguel Ruiz, in his book The Four Agreements, describes this as the process of domesticating our children. It's the same process we use to domesticate animals.
But we're confident it's not part of our human nature to either be slaves--submitting without question to others, or to be rebels--forever at war with anyone who seems to oppose what we want.
We hope this gives you some insight into what may be creating your experience in your relationships. We also hope this gives you a starting point for what you might begin to do so you can have a different experience.
